Back from my first CHA and I'm so overwhelmed. And still totally exhausted. Whew - that's a lot of walking and very little sleep.
Friday night was the designer dinner - Wendy did such a fantastic job! I helped to set up and register people as they checked in and we were busy for about 3 hours doing that. Followed by meeting a ton of people that I was so anxious to meet and having a blast with people that I had already met - so much fun registering with Wendy, Sharyn, Allison, Christine, Steph Homburg, May, Janet, and I know I'm forgetting others. :p And meeting sooooooo many peas at the dinner was fantastic. But, I will admit to being overwhelmed and trying to melt into the background by 10 pm. I'm a wimp at these type of things.
Saturday morning I walked the floor for awhile by myself (after Sharyn helped me get my badge and oriented with the layout). That was okay and I think I may have made a great contact for design work. But, it really didn't do much for me. Once again, it was overwhelming and so much information to take in. I would walk past a booth and never even know who it was because I was seeing so many other booths at the same time. Although meeting Tia at the Autumn Leaves booth was soooo wonderful! Love, love Tia! I also loved meeting part of the Technique Tuesday crew - Bev rocks! Plain and simple - they are an upstanding company with outstanding customer service. I am their biggest fan!
My favorite part of Saturday was meeting everyone from Therm O Web and doing make 'n takes in their booth! It was a ton of work and it got crazy for awhile, but I loved it! And I adore everyone from Therm O Web and Mimi - they are total class acts and I have so much admiration for Candace. I am so honored to be able to work with them! And meeting Sue - Hi Sue!!!!!! So much fun to talk to you!!! I wish we'd had our picture taken together. :(
Saturday night's dinner was hilarious! It turned into a birthday bash for Wendy and we laughed and laughed and had a great time! Love that group of girls!!!!
Rooming with Sharyn was perfect for me, too! She's a great roomie and a great friend! I was so happy to spend time with her this weekend.
As for product - I was sooooooo overwhelmed that I seriously can't even remember much. The ones that stick out are the new Technique Tuesday stamps (woohoo - love them soooooo much!!!!), new Basic Grey (drool), new Foofala and AL stamps, 7gypies (seriously everything in their booth), and Scenic Route stuff. Oh!!! And one of the Polar Bear Press lines was soooooo pretty - gorgeous paisley designs!!!
I took very few pictures at all - I was just too busy all weekend long. But, it was so wonderful to have "face time" as Kelly calls it with the CKU posse - Sherry, Kelly, Wendy, Mary, Kimber - as well as so many others. I'm exhausted, still sleep deprived, and very glad to be home now.
