Elizabeth's second grade class is writing their autobiographies in class and so she and I went through old photos tonight so that she could choose some to illustrate her book.
And, oh my heart. My precious little girl. These photos were all taken when she was three - my favorite time with her, I think. This was before she insisted that people call her Elizabeth. She was Boo Boo until she was 3 1/2 and most people didn't even know her real name.
Here are some of my favorite photos of her. You can tell that I knew nothing about photography or focus 5 years ago. LOL! I didn't edit these at all, though. I like to see them just the way I took them.
That smile that was really more of a smirk is just my favorite. She was just happy when she had that smile on her face. Happy and content with her life. She still does that same smile. :) And look at Emily - only 6! And Andrew's big bald head. LOL!
Oh and this! This!!!! My favorite photo of her EVER!! If only the focus hadn't been on the butter dish behind her. :p She had just turned 3 and finally had enough hair to put barrettes in (she was completely bald until she was 2) and I loved this blue outfit that I had bought for her. She rarely had new clothes because she just wore Em's hand-me-downs, but I loved this shirt and the leggings that went with it so much that I bought it for her. She still looks amazing in blue, but I can't get her to wear it at all. Sigh.
I think I just might die of cuteness looking at this photo. She was 3 1/2 and this was her first day of preschool. She was so excited to be a big girl and go to school, but very shy about getting her photo taken. A totally genuine real Boo Boo photo! I just want to eat her up - the chubby cheeks and elbows just kill me!
And boy can I tell how much preschool matured her in this photo!! She played dress-up every single day at preschool and became a total fan of pink and sparkles - still is to this day. And this look on her face is such a total little pretend diva - this is the beginning of the Elizabeth we know today.
