My biggest decision that I have to make today is whether we should go to the beach or the pool. The beach is an hour away and the pool is ten minutes away. The beach is an all-day affair usually and the pool can be just an hour or two out of our afternoon. The beach involves packing food for the entire day, hauling blankets and towels and umbrellas and coolers and toys all over the place. The pool involves some towels, sunscreen and a dollar for kids' popsicles. The beach is a long, lazy day spent listening to the kids run and play in the water and sand in places sand shouldn't be in. The pool involves a loud, crazy afternoon listening to a million kids splash around and yell, "Mom, watch me jump off the diving board!"
Whew. See the dilemma? It's hard work deciding on which lazy way to spend the day.
