When I posted earlier this month about this being the year of me finishing projects before I take on any new ones, part of that goal was to finish taking care of me. It's so easy as a mom to forget to take care of yourself. Who has time for that when you have kids that need taken care of? And husbands. Truly.
I've had pain in my right shoulder for over two years and it's gotten to the point that I simply can't sleep anymore. Every time I turn over, I wake up almost gasping with the pain. It's been months like that and it's time for that to stop.
A couple of weeks ago, I went for a yearly physical and got a referral for my shoulder. And finally got some relief yesterday.
I know that needle doesn't look like relief but it will be. That and physical therapy for the next month will hopefully help me avoid rotator-cuff surgery.
Next up: arthritis in both thumbs.
It needs to be taken care of but wow, does it make me feel old!
