My kids attempt to stretch out the holiday season more and more every year. I've been putting them off for weeks but with Thanksgiving over and December arriving tomorrow, it's finally time. And so the season of anticipation is upon us. Here's a few happenings that have us all anticipating right now.
A special arrival | I will admit to being more excited than usual this year for a very special reason.. We're expecting a new arrival in our extended family right around Christmas and so the crochet hook is very busy.
Elizabeth's birthday | Beth turns 14 tomorrow and Andrew and Emily spent part of the weekend shopping for her. They also decided to go to the movies together while they were out.
Decorating | It's hard not to feel the spirit of the season once the twinkle comes out of storage.
New achievements | Andrew solved his Rubik's Cube this weekend after months of trying. He threw himself and the cube on the floor after he stopped screaming.
Baking | Beth loves to bake! And text. :)
New beginnings | We had to register Beth for high school last week. I'm not sure of my emotions right now. It's such a huge milestone and she has had so many challenges this past year that I'm still processing all of it.
Snow | It's here and this is the time of the year that I actually look forward to it.
Visitors | Trips to the airport to meet family members coming and going.
Let the season and the anticipating begin!
