Since announcing that I'm going to part of the 2015 Project Life Creative Team, some of my friends have wondered, "What is Project Life, anyway?"
Basically, it's a super-simple scrapbook. It's available in traditional paper products and digital products. I will be part of the digital team but I used the paper products for two years so I'm very familiar with both systems.
Project Life was created by Becky Higgins and you can read all about it at her site - BeckyHiggins.com. As she explains it,
IT’S SERIOUSLY THIS EASY.
Project Life® is an ultra-simple, über-stylish solution for getting your photos off your phone and computer, out of boxes, and into albums. Gone are the days of cutting, pasting, buying oodles of supplies, and spending hours on an album. Or even hours on just one page.
You need an album, the empty page protectors that will hold your photos, and the Project Life cards. That's it. Let me show you some examples from my 2013 album.
This is what I call my cover page for 2013. It's pictures of all of us that I took, plus some simple cards.
This is a page from January. It's just photos, cards, and my notes about the photos.
Many people use Project Life to hold their photos for the year. But you don't have to at all! You can use it as a baby book, a book to document school events, a book to hold your heritage photos from your parents and grandparents, or as a birthday or holiday album. It can be anything you want it to be.
This next page is a page made to celebrate my daughter's first cello competition.
Here's a photo of how I store my cards and you can see what some of them look like. I always put my photos in the page protectors first and then use the Project Life cards to fill in.
And that's it. It's so simple and quick and it gets your photos off your phone and off your camera and onto a shelf in your house.
Below are some links to everything you need and please, please ask questions if you have any! I have links along the top of my blog so go ahead and explore for more ideas if that helps and I'll post a digital how-to a bit later.
