I've been wanting to play with paper and get creative lately. A couple of weeks ago, I asked for advice with Themed Albums and got so many great ideas! For the most part, the suggestions were to stick with a gratitude album. I kept going back to that idea and finally decided that I'd take everyone's advice and stick with it.
So here's the start of it. It's still not quite where I want it to be. I can't seem to capture the same feel and joy I had when I was working on my Week in the Life album and December Daily albums but I'm going to keep going and hope that the creative buzz kicks in.
My project life layouts are already very full of my gratitude so maybe that's why this isn't really doing it for me. It feels so similar to what I'm already doing. Hmmm.....I'll have to think on that a bit more.
Anyway, here's my cover page. It's a mix of Project Life digi elements and Ali Edwards' digital elements, plus some word art that I added to Ali's.
Page one is a 100% digital page that I created for a Project Life assignment. I used the 6x8 template and made my own cards.
It would be so easy to make this album all digital but I have so many paper supplies and really want to use them up. Not to mention that I truly need the creative release that comes with working with paper. I used some very old Project Life cards and mounted them on 3x4 cardstock. Did you know that the oldest Project Life cards were smaller than the current ones? They're closer to 2.5" x 3.5" actually. I added my handwriting, some old Basic Grey stickers, and some other paper supplies.
Page three includes a digital card I printed out ages ago. I'm pretty sure it's from Designer Digitals - maybe even a Cathy Zielske card. I printed out a screen capture of Beth's Instagram photo, added a heart to it, and then used a 3x4 Project Life folded card for the journaling. I embellished the card with a leftover sticker from the Week in the Life kit and another digital printed embellishment from Designer Digitals.
Right now, I'm using a weekly format, assuming that it'll be a companion album for my 2015 Project Life but I'm itching to do something else, too, so I may change it up. :)
