We've been having a rough patch around here - medical issues for a couple of us, medical issues that affect school for one of us, lack of sleep, more school issues for another one, getting ready and anxious for a college trip, and on and on. When I get overwhelmed at times like this - which I should be used to, but I'm just not, I tend to get paralyzed. I'll make lists of everything that needs to get done, try to stay on top of it all, but in the end, the paralysis wins and I don't get any of it done. It's almost like my brain says, "just stop everything until you get past the overwhelming bits."
I've been in this state of paralysis for about two weeks now. When I read this post from Ali Edwards, I literally gasped out loud. EXACTLY. And it pulled me out of a rut. Or at least helped me see that I wasn't alone and that others do the same thing.
So my inspiration for the weekend is this:
It arrived and I'm going to find time to read it. Period.
And because I knew that part of what I needed, really needed, was some creative time, I subscribed to Ali's Story Kit for this month.
And, just a coincidence of timing, but I'm going to call it the universe trying to tell me something, my new value kits from Becky Higgins arrived, too!
It's time to make something this weekend! Link me up to what's inspiring you lately!
