Now that the kids have been back in school for four weeks, we seem to be settling into a routine and I can feel the pull of fall and even the holiday season. The weather is starting to turn cooler, at least in the mornings, and football season has started.
I really don't enjoy my kids leaving everyday and I dread school starting every year so I haven't been the happiest momma in the world these past four weeks. But I can feel it all easing with the passage of time and find myself making lists of projects that I'm looking forward to working on. Plus, there's something cozy about the colder mornings that makes me want to create things. Quilts, blankets, scrapbook pages - they're all calling me right now.
One of the projects I want to work on - or continue working on - is posting my Project Life layouts here. I'm certainly not up to date but I do have quite a few weeks that haven't made it onto the blog.
Cathy Zielske's Project Life Value Kit continues to be my favorite kit. It's cheerful with bright colors, yet simple and clean and so, so me. I love the lines, the dots, and the wood embellishments. I used her kit for Week 10's layout and I love the end result.
The left side of the page contains the title card and the main journaling card. I also love to write directly on the photos and did that with one photo on this side.
The right side includes more photos, more journaling, and a few more of the wood embellishments. So simple and done!
Happy Monday!
