Another week done and another layout using Cathy Zielske's Project Life Value Kit. I think I could use this one kit all year and never get tired of it.
Another reason I loved this week was because the photos I took reflect some great, everyday moments. Sometimes I fall into the easy trap of taking photos of the events that make each week a little special, such as concerts, awards, and those type of things. Those are easy things to photograph because they're the obvious moments that stand out. The not-so-obvious moments are the moments we don't even think about - what you have for breakfast, what the kids do in the evening, and all those moments that are otherwise just the everyday, ordinary (even boring) moments in your life. I love that I have some of those kind of photographs this week.
The left side of the layout includes the weekly journaling card, plus two other journaling cards. It also includes a photo of me having coffee and reading the news on my iPad - two things I do as soon as I wake up each day. It also includes a photo that is so, so typically Emily - dancing around holding one of the cats and singing. Happy Em. :)
The right side includes the story of the feathers on our sun porch (you can read about it on the journaling card - not a happy moment), Tom snuggling with Andrew and Libby one evening while they watched a movie, a dance party in the kitchen, shopping at Costco with the boys and a friend, veggies chopped for stir-fry, and the other part of Andrew's concert.
Overall, I love how this week's layout came together and the everyday moments it captures. :)
